What Happens in a face-to-face Lesson?

What Happens in an online Lesson?

First, we will look at how you coordinate your body in movement in everyday activities like sitting, standing & walking. However, we can focus on any activity you are insterested in - you may want to bring in a musical instrument you play, explore the way you attend to household chores, work on a computer or use your mobile devices.

You will learn to identify and change habits which are interfering with ease, flexibility and balance while I will be using gentle touch and verbal guidance to help you explore new ways of moving and thinking. ​

What Should I Wear?
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing to your lessons. Jeans or skirts are not recommended as they can restrict your movement. It is better not to wear sleeveless tops.

How many lesson will I need?
Alexander Technique is a skill and learning it takes time. The number of lessons will vary greatly from person to person. However, usually ten to thirty lessons are recommended. 
I am using a Zoom application for online work. That allows me to create a recording which is an important part of the lesson. You are encouraged to watch the recording after our session as it is where the real learning takes place. 

How should I set myself up and what to wear ?
Find a room where you will not be disturbed and where you can get back 2-3 m from your device camera so you can lie down or stand up and be fully seen.
Please, m
ake sure to have light directed at you rather than at the camera.

​Wear light coloured, comfortable clothing which allows for movement. Please aviod black and dark colours.

If possible try out the setup of you camera/device prior to our session. I will email you a detailed information upon booking.  

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

Duration: 45-55 minutes
Standard fees for face-to-face & online lessons:
  • private casual € 45
  • five sessions € 200
  • ten sessions € 400​ ​​
Concession rates for pensioners & full-time students.
Shaw Method swimming lessons:
Swimming pool entry/ lane hire is not included.

Semi-private sessions (2-5 people) are available for Alexander, Smart Yoga, swimming & ski/snowboard lessons.
