WHAT HAPPENS IN A FACE-TO-FACE LESSON
First, we will look at how you coordinate your body in movement in everyday activities like sitting, standing & walking. However, we can focus on any activity you are interested in - you may want to bring in a musical instrument you play, explore the way you attend to household chores, work on a computer or use your mobile devices.
You will learn to identify and change habits which are interfering with ease, flexibility and balance while I will be using gentle touch and verbal guidance to help you explore new ways of moving and thinking.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing to your lessons. Jeans or skirts are not recommended as they can restrict your movement. It is better not to wear sleeveless tops.

WHAT HAPPENS IN AN ONLINE LESSON
I am using a Zoom application for online work. That allows me to create a recording which is an important part of the lesson. You are encouraged to watch the recording after our session as this is where the real learning takes place.
HOW SHOULD I SET MYSELF UP FOR AND ONLINE LESSON
Find a room where you will not be disturbed and where you can get back 2-3 m from your device camera so you can lie down or stand up and be fully seen.
Please, make sure to have light directed at you rather than at the camera.

If possible, try out the setup of your camera/device prior to our session.

HOW MANY LESSONS WILL I NEED
Alexander Technique is a skill and learning it takes time.
The number of lessons will vary greatly from person to person. You should be able to feel a significant difference within five to ten sessions and then decide if you wish to continue.
